**Terms and Conditions for Painters of Mosman**
**1. Introduction**These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by Painters of Mosman ("us," "we," or "our") to clients ("you" or "your") in the Mosman area of Sydney. By engaging our services, you agree to abide by these Terms.
**2. Care and Responsibility**While we will make every effort to exercise care during our work, you acknowledge and agree that we accept no responsibility for damages incurred to:- Curtains, blinds, plantation shutters- Light fittings, chandeliers, light switches- Wall-mounted light fittings, alarms, video surveillance cameras- Intercoms, door handles, door striker plates, door hinges- Floor tiles, floating floors, and carpets- Cracked roof tiles, tears to roof flashings and lead- Roof valleys, roof hips, gable ends, gutter brackets- Slipped downpipes, and rusty gutters
**3. Paint Adhesion**We guarantee adhesion of the paint to the surface we are working on. However, we cannot guarantee the adhesion of older paint substrates unless the paint is removed down to a bare surface.
**4. Client Responsibilities**- You are required to move all furniture and remove all curtains, blinds, shutters, door handles, and light fittings prior to our arrival. We can perform this service for you at an additional charge.- Damage may occur to household fittings exposed to sunlight over extended periods. Painters of Mosman will not be responsible for such damage.
**5. Paint Spills**We do not cover paint spills made by clients, their family members, or any unauthorized personnel while we are on site. We will only address spills caused by our staff. In instances where paint spills on carpet occur, we will attempt to clean the area first. If the spill is irreparable, we will replace the carpet only in the affected area or room.
**6. Color Choices**We are not responsible for poor color choices made by clients. Any paint discarded due to poor color selection will be at the client’s expense. Repainting surfaces in a new color will incur an additional charge.
**7. On-Site Work**You acknowledge that work may be ongoing in your home while you are present. Painters of Mosman prioritizes safety and will ensure minimal disruption.
**8. Smoking Policy**Strictly no smoking is allowed on site. This is enforced to maintain a safe and clean working environment.
**9. Amendments to Terms**We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Clients will be informed of any significant changes prior to their effect.
**10. Governing Law**These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
*11. Payments and Final Inspection**
**11.1 Deposit and Progress Payments**- Painters of Mosman require a deposit for all jobs, the amount of which will be negotiated based on the specific job requirements.- Progress payments are also required and will be negotiated according to the size and scope of the project.
**11.2 Final Payment**- Final payment is required within 24 hours of signing off on the final inspection report.- The final inspection takes place when Painters of Mosman have completed the work. It does not occur when your project is merely complete.- We will walk through the site together to inspect for any defects and perform touch-ups as necessary.- Multiple pre-final inspections will be conducted to ensure your satisfaction throughout the process.
**11.3 Move-In Touch-Up Service**- We offer a complimentary move-in touch-up service for up to 4 hours to ensure your home is ready to showcase to family and guests.- This service can be extended beyond the 4-hour limit but will incur an additional charge.
**11.4 Permits and Fees**- All council and subcontractor permits must be paid in full before the commencement of the job. This includes: - Heritage council inspections - Scaffolding permits and erection - Tigger tail of electrical lines - Roof rails and harness points certification - Permit to stretch on footpaths - Traffic control or traffic controllers - Any other outside costs associated with the painting and preparation of the site-
**12. Free Colour Consultation
****12.1 Consultation Details**- Upon acceptance of our quote, we provide a free color consultation for up to 4 hours.- Should you require more time, the consultation can be extended according to your needs, with an hourly fee applied after the initial 4 hours, including travel time.
**12.2 Personalized Service**- Our team is committed to taking the necessary time to ensure you get it right.- We aim to understand your personality and preferences to add flair to your color choices.
**12.3 Collaborative Inspiration**- We can visit local paint shops, furniture stores, art galleries, kitchen showrooms, bathroom showrooms, or any places where you seek inspiration for your project.- The best results stem from a strong plan and a deep understanding of your taste.
